Lincoln's Life Mattered Foundation was established to promote mental health and well-being among youth through education, early intervention and access to supportive services. We aim to reduce the incidence of illness, suicide, and social isolation. Lincoln’s Life Mattered Foundation activities are designed to directly address the mental health needs of youth by:
-
Supporting access to counseling services by covering or subsidizing associated costs.
-
Promoting peer support through community-based connection and shared lived experience.
-
Educating youth about mental health through workshops and school-based programs.
-
Raising awareness and reducing stigma through community outreach initiatives.
-
Building resilience and coping skills to prevent the escalation mental health issues.
-
Offering capacity building, such as scholarships for students entering post-secondary education in areas that support the foundation’s mission.
